Until next time, stay healthy, buy silver, for every economic crisis has a silver lining, and remember…

The clock of life is wound but once,
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
 At late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own.
Live, love, toil with a will.
 Place no faith in time.
For the clock may soon be still.

A special message to our classmates and supporters from "Cobra":

We, who are foolish enough to expose ourselves to your derision on this site, salute you. You guys have recklessly sent enough money to ensure that we will be able to keep the site going at least through the next reunion (Unless, of course, Lake runs off to Brazil with all our treasure. (I have never trusted him since he took Sharon to the prom.). We thank you for your generosity from the bottom of what passes for our hearts. Hopefully, we are humble enough not to mistake your contributions for endorsement of our writing. The scary thing is that some of us may interpret this as a mandate to write even more stuff, and in the process bore you and humiliate ourselves to death. Oh well, that is the risk of living in a free society.      With our new web hosting service we have plenty of room to include huge archives of memorabilia and writing. The only problem is, we don't have huge amounts of memorabilia and writing to post. So, now that you have opened your wallets to keep the site going, we are asking you to open your attics and dig out any pictures, mementos, etc. that you have and scan them yourself or arrange with Don to get them on the web site. The process will not harm your stuff and we will ensure that anything you send gets returned safely to you.      We would also love to have more people writing for the site. If you are too shy to write a full blown article, you can dip your toe into the water by leaving a short greeting on Tunnel Talk, then work your way up to replying to other people's comments, originating items yourself, writing short articles, and then cranking out interminably boring stuff like the rest of us do. But, even if some of you are too shy to participate actively (probably the same ones who were too shy to raise your hand in class), we know you are out there reading the site and we greatly appreciate that kind of participation also.      Now, after holding Thompson's feet to the fire for many months, I have finally gotten him to divulge the telling data. So, here are the results you have all been waiting breathlessly for:      Of the donors to the web site, nine were from Jefferson, a mere five from the lately lamented E. J. Brown, a smattering from Loos, and Fairview, a few unknown, and a few who had the misfortune of attending grade school in another town. This proves conclusively, that Jeffersonians are better people in every regard than ‘Brownies'. (Of course, it is not too late for you E.J.B. grads to open your wallets and reverse the results).      In any event, we wish to thank each and every one of you again for supporting the C.W.'63 site either through donations or just taking the time to look at it occasionally. It is a wonderful way to strengthen the bonds that unite the best high school class ever.

Striving to do what is best, what is right…

Sincerely,

Paul Kottler &

The Colonel White Class of 1963 Reunion Committee

Be sure to go to the ‘40th Reunion Area for many pictures, thanks to Paul Kottler. If you are reading this you know ‘things have changed’! We have a new address as well as the old one. They will both get you here by the time you read this. If not, use the ’63.net address. There are many reasons for this, but at this time we are only interested in the future, and serving our class.      This web site will be maintained for the purpose of keeping the classmate address list up to date, as well as any other purpose the reunion committee and YOU want. Write us from the ‘Contact Us’ page, with your ideas and suggestions. Just click on the blue E-mail address and talk to us. You will find many new things here, so be sure to hit the refresh button for each page you look at, each time you go to the site, because we are adding new material, and areas daily. Computers, being designed by humans, will do the easiest thing rather than the best thing, as they will load the site pages from their memory, instead of the web, where the latest info is, thus you miss the latest material.     To change your address, it’s easy and efficient. It is available to you on the Home Page as well as the Classmate/ E-mail directory page. Simply click on the envelope, then write on your own E-mail service as it appears w/ the Address to: and the Subject: already typed in for you, and hit send! If you have information about a classmate, please use this to notify us, so the master address list can be kept current. Donations to maintain the web site can also be arranged here. Send me your phone number and I’ll call you to set it up, (endowment in Paul Kottler’s case).     In the Library you will find specific areas of our collective past. There will be class pictures, from Loos, Longfellow, Fairview, and of course, Jefferson, home of the Jeff ‘Teens, along with features, such as; E.J.Brown tour, Miss Spring, Etc. whenever they become available. Use the drop down menu on the right side of the page.      The ‘Memory Lane’ area is where you’ll find any and all material of a general nature. Items will change as more items become available.Until next time, so long for now…
