| From Phil Clarke - C.W. Class of '70..... I was able to retrieve some letters ( ) COLO(NE)L W(H)ITE Bill White (CLASS OF 69) --ONE LETTER (H)IGH SCHOOL The crane operator took most of the letters (he had already promised them to some one else). At the end of the day, I requested from crane operator, to trace the letters he took on paper,so we could have accurate dimensions of the letters. If any class wants to make a banner, at least they will have correct dimension. The most important thing is, the letters will not be buried in the landfill. |
The destruction is leading the way to reconstruction of some wonderful and yes, some painful memories. We choose to remember the good times - many friendships, hopes, dreams, activities, and wonderful stories of Colonel White. The sounds in the hallways, clanking lockers, exuberant laughter, a sense of belonging... so what was that aroma coming from the cafeteria??? Thanks for the memories! |
