Dayton Public Schools Pics

From Phil Clarke - C.W. Class of '70.....
I was able to retrieve some letters ( ) COLO(NE)L W(H)ITE
Bill White (CLASS OF 69) --ONE LETTER (H)IGH SCHOOL

The crane operator took most of the letters (he had already promised them to some one else). At the end of the day, I requested from crane operator, to trace the letters he took on paper,so we could have accurate dimensions of the letters. If any class wants to make a banner, at least they will have correct dimension. The most important thing is, the letters will not be buried in the landfill.

The destruction is leading the way to reconstruction of some wonderful and yes, some painful memories.  We choose to remember the good times - many friendships, hopes, dreams, activities, and wonderful stories of Colonel White.  The sounds in the hallways, clanking lockers, exuberant laughter, a sense of belonging... so what was that aroma coming from the cafeteria???

Thanks for the memories!
